Brewing news Ukraine: BBH proceeds to restructuring its Ukrainian business

Details concerning BBH Ukrainian companies’ structural reorganisation have been released June 07. Shareholders of “Slavutich” and “Lvov Brewery” have agreed on the legal liquidation of these companies’ boards. “BBH Ukraine” Chairman of board Petr Chernishov is to be the general director of both companies.

The company explains these changes by the willingness to reorganize Ukrainian breweries’ boards according to standards implemented by the rest of the holding’s subsidiaries. Experts believe the new structure will prove itself more effective.

According to Petr Chernishov statement, the “Lvov Brewery” shareholders meeting decided to replicate these changes to the company’s charter, according to which the company’s board has lost its executive prerogatives. In addition, the position of chairman of board has been also excluded from the company’s charter. Anyway, Chernishov specified that “Lvov Brewery” ex-chairman Vladimir Pecher has been appointed president of the brewery. “From now on, Mr. Pecher will be generally assigned to representative functions,” Chernishov added. Sources provide that as for shareholders of “Slavutichi”, they agreed on similar decisions. Thus, Chernishov became simultaneously chairman of both companies.

“These structural updates were motivated by similar initiatives which were undertaken by other BBH subsidiaries,” Chernishov explained. According to some experts’ opinion, the meaning of these mutations is to integrate the company’s row material purchase processes, its brands release and distribution politics.
